The Physics of Cooking

A new cooking science class will be offered through the physics department this Spring. In addition to pots, pans and measuring cups to prepare food, students will use “the principles of thermal physics and chemistry to make cooking - and baking and preserving - more interesting, fun and tasty.” The class will be taught by Srinivas Manne, Associate Professor of Physics, and will include master chefs and bakers as lecturers.
