Hope you're all doing well and enjoying your summer so far. I just wanted to let everyone know that this Tuesday at 4pm we will be holding the annual Physics REU BBQ Cookout in front of the Physics building, hosted by myself, Erik Wessel, Dr. Srin Manne, and of course the REU class of 2019. We'll have drinks, snacks, and a few grills out cooking burgers and hot dogs. Vegetarian options will definitely be provided.
The students will also be debuting their water balloon catapult designs which they have been working on throughout the past week! We will be holding a competition in three categories: to determine whose construction can shoot the furthest, the highest, and the most consistently.
All of you are welcome to stop by, get some grub, and meet this year's REU class. If you have any questions, feel free to send Erik or myself a message. Hope to see you there!
