Awards

The following awards are offered by the College of Science, some just in the Spring and others in both Spring and Fall. The Awards Committee of the Department of Physics plays an active role in many of these award nomination processes and, in some cases, makes the final decision on behalf of the Department of Physics. Information about how to be considered for each award will be announced early in the semester through UA email. Information about each award can be viewed below.

Each College of Science department may nominate ONE outstanding graduating senior. The nominee will receive your departmental Outstanding Senior Award, presented at the Spring College of Science Awards event in early May. The CoS Awards Committee will select the CoS overall Outstanding Senior from among the departmental Outstanding Seniors. Please note that the Department of Physics will ask for multiple nominees that the Department Award Committee will then choose one awardee to be submitted to the College of Science. This award is for Fall & Spring. Solicitation of nominees will happen in both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Past Award Winners:

  • Spring 2024: Hongji Wei
