Physics Professor Elliott Cheu selected as University Distinguished Professor

Physics Professor Elliott Cheu has just been selected as a University Distinguished Professor by the UA Provost's Committee. The University Distinguished Professor awards recognize faculty who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to undergraduate education as well as a distinguished record of creative scholarship. UA Provost Andrew Comrie commends Professor Cheu in a letter: "Your impact has extended well beyond your own teaching and mentoring, for many students have benefited from your effort to create a study space in your department.''

Professor Cheu's achievements will be recognized at a formal ceremony scheduled in the late fall.
