2018: Physics' Largest Incoming Freshman Class

On August 17th, we held our annual Freshmen Orientation for Physics majors. We are happy to announce that 2018 marks the largest ever class of incoming freshmen with 60 students. This continual rise in incoming physics majors is no coincidence. In today's rapid and ever-growing job market, college students must seek out the academic path that will create the most opportunities for the future. And at the core of all basic sciences and engineering, the fundamentals of physics are ever-present. For this reason, the physics degree has garnered a reputation for both the technical skills it teaches, and the adaptability it presents.
