Mike Eklund Receives the College of Science Staff Advisory Council Star Award.

The 2024 CoSSAC (College of Science Staff Advisory Council) Star Award goes out to Mike Eklund! In a ceremony hosted by the Department of Physics last Friday, Mike was presented with the award, recognizing his extraordinary contributions to the department and his willingness to always go above and beyond the call of duty.
Mike has worked in the department for over 35 years, serving as IT specialist and building manager. His service to the department goes far beyond what those titles would imply. Mike has become an indispensable department member, always the first to lend a helping hand and never one to shy away from challenging work. Whenever difficulties arise, it is always comforting to know that Mike will be there, with his omnipresent smile and considerable problem-solving abilities.
