TIMESTEP’s Summer Tech Internship Symposium

The 2024 cohort of TIMESTEP’s Summer Tech Internship shared their experiences via individual student presentations at the internship symposium Wednesday, September 4th. Ten out of 24 interns are from Physics! Symposium attendees included students, local tech employers, UA administrators, faculty, and staff. Dr. Erika Hamden provided an encouraging keynote address centering on the role of failure in success, highlighting her challenges with the two FIREBall missions and the vast amount of rejection any researcher faces in their career. Students had an opportunity to learn about local tech employers and the skills needed to be successful in industry and research positions.
