Abstract: The observation of neutrino oscillation indicates that neutrinos have mass. The quest to understand the origin of the neutrino mass lies at the forefront of particle and nuclear physics. One key approach to under- standing the neutrino nature is fundamental symmetry tests in the lepton sector such as lepton number and charged-lepton flavor conservation. In this talk, I will first discuss neutrinoless double beta decay in light of light right-handed neutrinos. Then, I will also discuss the potential sensitivity of the Electron-Ion Collider to charged-lepton-flavor violating electron-tau transition.
