Abstract: While studying nature, physicists utilize and even develop a diverse arsenal of mathematical tools. Despite the original motivation of these methods though, if one takes a step back and looks at the abstract structure, it usually is the case that they are applicable to other systems, many times virtually unrelated to the initial ones. One such case will be presented in this talk, in particular a simple model for the economy, and its predictions will be discussed.
