Physics club had our first meeting of the semester on Monday, August 28, 5 pm in PAS 201. There was a good turnout and we thank everyone who was able to make it. We had officer introductions, talked about upcoming events and colloquia, and held several presentations such as "This Week in Physics," "Physics in Film," and "Pseudoscience & Quantum Mechanics." We also discussed a possible club viewing of the recent movie "Oppenheimer" in the near future.

The goal of the Physics club is to provide a place for students to have fun talking about physics in a laid back and friendly environment, as well as act as a liaison between students and the department. It also provides an opportunity to build connections with peers and professors through fun events such as game nights, physics demos, group trips, professor talks, and student vs teacher volleyball games! We hope you will all join us for another fun semester!
