Weigang Wang Promoted to Full Professor of Physics

Congratulations to Dr. Weigang Wang on his much deserved promotion to Full Professor of Physics. Dr. Wang's research focuses on the transport of charge and spin at nanoscales, specializing in new materials, new structures, and new devices for the next generation of spintronic applications. 

Friend and mentor to scores of graduate and undergraduate students, Wang has been a driving force for student success within the Physics Department. His many contributions to the department include serving as Director of Graduate Studies, modernizing advanced lab classes with quantum computing equipment, and acting as Chair of the Semiconductor Science and Engineering accelerated master's program.
