Grad Talk "A Simple Model for Type IIn Supernova Early Bolometric Light Curves"

Abstract: Due to its relatively vague definition, the term supernova describes a rich variety of violent events, mostly related with the final stages of the lives of stars. This talk will focus in one particular category of such events, the so called type IIn supernovae. In particular, after a brief introduction of the classification of supernovae and the specific characteristics of type IIn ones, a simple model for the time evolution of the total radiated power from the object at its early stages will be discussed.
