Cosmo Fest - Cosmology: On the Eve of Discovery?

Abstract: Over the last few years, several studies have reported results that suggest — but don’t yet conclusively prove — that the standard model of cosmology is incorrect.  This talk will introduce some of the recent discoveries that have cosmologists excited about the prospect of discovering new physics, including new results by the DESI and DES collaboration.  We will highlight the role that the Arizona Cosmology Lab is playing within this landscape, and conclude by providing a brief overview of what is to come.
