All three
Please join us in congratulating Drs. Sam Gralla, Elisabeth Krause, and Eduardo Rozo, all of whom have been promoted to full professor!

Prof. Gralla's research focuses on theoretical gravitational physics, including quantum gravity, astrophysics, the physics of strong gravitational and electromagnetic fields, as well as the associated astrophysics of black holes and neutron stars. A gifted lecturer and dedicated teacher, Dr. Gralla's classes are greatly appreciated and sought after by both graduate and undergraduate students.

Prof. Krause, in addition to being an exceptionally talented cosmologist, is a remarkable leader. She is leading the Theory and Joint Probes working group within the Large Synoptic Survey Telescopes' Dark Energy Collaboration and co-coordinates the Theory and Combined Probes working group within the ongoing Dark Energy Survey. Dr. Krause is an outstanding educator, her joint appointment between Astronomy and Physics requires her to teach an impressively broad range of classes, including many of the most advanced and difficult to teach physics courses.

Prof. Rozo is an international leader in the field of observational cosmology. His research particularly focuses on cluster cosmology. Prof. Rozo stands out for not only developing new techniques, methods, and programs to analyze data, but also developing the theoretical basis that underlines those analyses. His teaching style is energetic and passionate, passing to his students not just the substance of scientific knowledge but also a deep love for science and learning.

Congratulations to all three on their much-deserved promotions. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Sam, Elisabeth, and Eduardo for their incredible work and contributions to the Department of Physics.
