Research interest: I’m working on the ATLAS experiment, one of the two general purpose detectors at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland. The ATLAS experiment covers a broad range of physics, from measurements of Standard Model parameters to searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model. My main of research focus is the reconstruction of large-radius jets and the identification of hadronically decaying W bosons and top quarks. I’m working on the measurement of the high transverse momentum Z(bb)+gamma cross section and search for dark matter. Furthermore I’m involved in the simulation of a new track-based trigger system for the ATLAS detector that will cope with the higher data rates expected in the coming years of data-taking.
